Speaker offers P5-million reward for information leading to Percy Lapid killers
House Speaker Martin Romualdez on Sunday offered a P5-million reward for anyone with information that will lead to the murderers of broadcaster Percy Lapid.
In a statement, Romualdez said that the money comes from the personal contributions of several House representatives.
"We in the House view with concern the killing of Percy Mabasa," said Romualdez, using Lapid's real surname. "The perpetrators and the masterminds behind this dastardly act must be brought to justice at all costs. Violence has no place in a civilized society like ours."
Lapid, host of the online broadcast program "Percy Lapid Fire" at DWBL 1242 and a columnist for Hataw, was shot dead in Barangay Talon Dos, Las Piñas on the evening of Friday, October 3.
A reward of P1.5 million has also been offered for information leading to his killers. — BM, GMA News
