Senate panel OKs DOT’s P3.573-B proposed budget for next year


A Senate committee on Thursday approved the P3.573-billion proposed budget of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and its attached agencies for next year.

At a hearing conducted by the Senate finance subcommittee, Senator Nancy Binay said the proposed budget of the DOT and its attached agencies would be submitted to the plenary.

Binay is the chairperson of the Senate tourism panel.
 
The DOT’s proposed budget is higher than the P2.741 billion it got this year.

A total of P3.269 billion will be allocated to the Office of the Secretary, followed by the National Parks Development Committee with P204.619 million and the Intramuros Administration with P63.093 million.
