DHSUD starts rollout of Marcos admin’s housing program
The rollout for the national housing priority program has already started in several areas in the country, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) said Wednesday.
During the 30th Annual National Convention of the Subdivision and Housing Developers Associations, DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar said the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino program is being conducted in partnership with local government units.
DHSUD said the official rollout started in September with groundbreaking ceremonies in key cities and municipalities like Quezon City, Bacolod City, Roxas City, Iloilo City and Mariveles, Bataan.
According to DHSUD, more signing of agreements and groundbreaking ceremonies are being developed this National Shelter Month.
The program aims to build one million housing units every year or a total of six million housing units within the six years of the Marcos’ administration. — BM, GMA News
