Marcos arrives in Singapore for two-day state visit
SINGAPORE - President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. arrived here on Tuesday afternoon for a two-day state visit.
According to the Office of the Press Secretary, Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and the entire Philippine delegation arrived at Changi Airport at 12:45 p.m.
Marcos is scheduled to appear before the Filipino community at 6 p.m.
Before flying to Singapore, Marcos had a three-day state visit to Indonesia, where he had a meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo and witnessed the signing of agreements on the economy, culture, and defense as well as a roadmap for bilateral relations.
In Singapore, Marcos will have separate meetings with Singaporean President Halimah Yacob and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
He is also looking to harvest investment deals from Singapore.
Marcos is expected to return to the Philippines on Wednesday night. — VBL, GMA News
