DOST, DENR priority projects tackled in Cabinet meeting - Palace

The priority projects of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) were discussed during Tuesday's Cabinet meeting, Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said.

At a press conference, Cruz-Angeles said the DOST's priority programs include the creation of technology-based enterprises; jobs for regional development; food security and resilience; health security; water security and environmental protection; and energy.

She said the DENR discussed water security as directed by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

The DENR also briefed the Cabinet on its priority programs such as the enhancement of the natural capital accounting system, including the valuation of ecosystem services; budget realignment and strategic collaboration with stakeholders; bolstering science and technology in environmental and natural resources management; and promoting green and blue jobs.

Cruz-Angeles did not provide additional details on the DOST and DENR's priority programs and projects. —VBL, GMA News
