Jessica Soho's KMJS win as Tiktok Top Media Publisher commended in House resolution

A resolution commending award-winning journalist Jessica Soho of GMA News and Public Affairs has been filed in the House of Representatives for the Top Media Publisher award of her show, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS), during the recent Tiktok Awards Philippines 2022.

House Resolution 296 authored by Leyte Representative Richard Gomez "acknowledges creators  for achieving the most video views, engagements, and additional followers for the time period."

"For so  many  years  now,  she  was  a  news  anchor  for  various  relevant, significant and beneficial newscasts and other programs on GMA News. Maria Jessica Aspiras  Soho deserves to be commended  for the honor and recognition she has brought to the broadcasting industry," the resolution said.

"Now, therefore, be it resolved, as it is hereby resolved, that the House of Representatives congratulates and commends Maria Jessica Aspiras Soho for winning the Top Media Publisher Award in the TikTok Awards Philippines 2022 held at New Frontier Theater, Araneta Center, Quezon City on August 20, 2022 and for bringing honor and pride to the broadcasting  community," it added.

The multi-awarded news magazine program has been on air since 2004.

According to TikTok, the award was given to the “media publisher that has achieved the most video views, engagements, and additional followers for the time period.”

This year's ceremony was held as an in-person event after the first TikTok Awards in the Philippines last year, which was conducted online.

Apart from “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” “24 Oras” and “Unang Hirit” were also nominated for Top Media Publisher at this year’s TikTok Awards.—LDF, GMA News
