P144 million in alleged shabu seized, South African traveler nabbed at NAIA

Authorities seized P144 million in alleged shabu and arrested a 60-year-old South African traveler at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City on Friday night.

The Bureau of Customs and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency received a tip about the suspects' arrival at the NAIA Terminal 3 and intercepted the 21 kilograms of alleged illegal drugs.

The suspect would be charged with violating R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act. — Sherylin Untalan, DVM, GMA News
