Compostela Valley College grads top elementary, secondary Teachers licensure exams


Two graduates of Compostela Valley State College (CVSC)- Montevista Branch topped both the Elementary and Secondary levels of the June 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Thursday.

Charlie Tiquin Juntilla topped the LET for the elementary level with a 93.40 percent rating while Marvin Cabel Nillas dominated the exams for the secondary level with 94 percent. Both are graduates of Compostela Valley State College (CVSC)- Montevista Branch.

The PRC announced that 8,667 elementary teachers out of 17, 149 examinees and 10,193 secondary teachers out of 20,191 examinees passed the LET that was held in 19 testing centers in the country on June 26.

The PRC added that out of the 8,667 passers at the elementary level, 290 are first timers and 8,377 are repeaters.

 


At least 695 out of the 10,193 passers for the secondary level are first timers and 9,498 are repeaters.

 


According to the PRC, registration for the issuance of a Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be open from August 17 to September 20, 2022, the agency added.

The schedule for the oath-taking ceremonies of the successful examinees will be announced soon, it added.
