Philippines adds 1,841 new COVID-19 cases, active tally rises to 20,511
The Philippines on Tuesday logged 1,841 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 3,737,222, according to data released by the Department of Health.
Active cases, however, decreased to 20,511 from 20,524 on Monday.
The National Capital Region posted 10,406 new cases in the past two weeks, followed by Calabarzon with 5,880, Central Luzon with 2,558, Western Visayas with 2,189, and Central Visayas with 984.
The country’s recovery tally increased to 3,656,070, while the number of deaths remained at 60,641.
As of Monday, there were 6,824 beds occupied nationwide and 22,121 beds unoccupied, for a bed occupancy rate of 23.6%.
A total of 20,563 individuals were tested for the coronavirus on Monday, while 329 testing laboratories submitted data. —VBL, GMA News
