Lorenzana meets with incoming NSA Clarita Carlos
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said Saturday he recently had a meeting with incoming National Security Adviser Clarita Carlos.
Lorenzana said the meeting took place a few days ago, which he described as "insightful."
“Her appointment is actually like a homecoming to the Department since she previously served as the 16th president of the National Defense College of the Philippines from 1998 to 2001,” he said in a Facebook post.
“Known for being feisty and media savvy, she holds the distinction of being the first and only female civilian to lead the higher institution for national defense and security,” he added.
President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. earlier this month picked Carlos to be his National Security Adviser.
Marcos said that Carlos, a retired political science professor, could help his administration with her knowledge of foreign policy and international politics.
