308 new COVID-19 cases recorded June 12, active tally climbs to 2,918

Three hundred eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Sunday, and the number of active infections climbed to 2,918, data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed.

The DOH said Sunday's new cases tally is the highest since April 20.

It has also been four days straight that the number of new COVID-19 cases daily was above 250, it added.

The total COVID-19 cases in the country reached 3,693,222.

Of this number, 3,629,843 have recovered, while 60,461 died. 

No new deaths were reported on June 12. —KG, GMA News
