Philippines' 252 new COVID-19 cases push active tally to 2,529
The Philippines recorded 252 new COVID-19 infections bringing the nationwide tally to 3,692,336 based on the data released by the Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday.
The DOH said the new cases pushed the country’s active tally to 2,529, which increased from 2,440 on Wednesday.
A total of 3,629,351 individuals recovered from the viral disease, while no new deaths were recorded as the death tally remained at 60,456.
The National Capital Region (NCR) registered 1,246 new cases in the recent two weeks, followed by Calabarzon with 373, Central Luzon with 201, Western Visayas with 154, and Soccsksargen with 96.
Based on the latest data, the country’s bed occupancy rate also increased to 17.9% from the previous 17.4%.
Meanwhile, at least 5,471 beds were occupied, while 25,100 were vacant.
At least 18,259 individuals were tested, with 326 testing laboratories submitted data as of June 8.—LDF, GMA News
