Over P216M spent by Sara Duterte in Eleksyon 2022


Vice President-elect Sara Duterte has declared more than P216 million of expenditures for her campaign in the 2022 vice presidential race.

As stated in her Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) filed before the Commission on Elections (Comelec), the total expenditures incurred was P216,190,935.06.

The total contributions received was also at P216,190,935.06. Of the amount, P79,581,690.15 came from in-kind contributions received from other sources while P136,609,244.91 was in-kind contributions from her political party.

Based on the SOCE, Duterte did not receive cash contributions either from other sources or her political party.

President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., Duterte's running mate, had declared more than P623 million worth of expenditures in his campaign.

Marcos' SOCE indicated that he had received P624,684,320.09 of contributions.

Pangilinan, De Lima

Defeated vice presidential candidate and outgoing Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan also submitted his SOCE on Wednesday.

His camp, however, refused to disclose how much the lawmaker had spent for his 2022 election campaign.

Meanwhile, detained Senator Leila de Lima, who had an unsuccessful re-election bid in the recently-concluded polls, declared over P7.402 million worth of campaign expenditures.

De Lima had also disclosed P7,405,000 worth of contributions received for her 2022 senatorial bid.

Based on the documents submitted to the Comelec, De Lima has excess donations amounting to P2,390.99.—Anna Felicia Bajo and Hana Bordey/AOL, GMA News
