Around 300,000 COVID-19 vaccines from the COVAX facility are set to arrive in late June to replace the country's expired doses, the Department of Health (DOH) said on Tuesday.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the vaccines are expected to arrive by June 20.

“We are still ongoing with our negotiations with them but by June 20, may initial na tayong replacements coming from COVAX and this will be worth 300,000 vaccines,” Vergeire said in a media briefing.

“So tapos sa mga susunod pa na negosasyon may mga madadagdag pa na papalitan nila (so in the upcoming negotiations, they will replace more),” she added.
