Robredo starts packing as term nears end

Vice President Leni Robredo has started packing her belongings from her office in Quezon City as her term nears its end.

On Facebook, Robredo shared photos of stacks of boxes filling the corners of the office, which she said were souvenirs in her six years as vice president.

“Countdown to June 30. Our last month in office. Second Boxing Day. Just realizing now how many books, souvenirs from provincial trips, plaques, letters, and other effects we have accumulated in six years,” she wrote in a social media post.

“Some pics from Day 1-May 30 and Day 2-May 31,” she said.

Robredo and her three daughters returned to the Philippines over the weekend after attending her youngest child Jillian’s graduation in New York City.

Before the two-week trip, she underscored that she would be on top of the preparations for the launch of the Angat Buhay program, a non-government organization composed mostly of volunteers who ran her campaign during this year’s elections.

Robredo trailed behind President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in the 2022 elections’ presidential race with 14 million votes compared to the former senator’s 31 million votes.
