Duterte goes on a motorcycle ride in Digos City, Davao del Sur

President Rodrigo Duterte took time off over the weekend to enjoy exploring the streets of Digos City, Davao del Sur, according to social media posts of Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM).

In a video posted by RTVM on Facebook on Monday morning, Duterte, wearing a helmet, was seen riding a three-wheel motorcycle around the streets of Barangay Badiang.

Residents were surprised to see the president passing by, RTVM said.

Duterte made the trip past 3 p.m. on Saturday, it added.

Senator Bong Go previously said that Duterte is a veteran motorcycle rider.

With a month left in his term, Duterte has started to make arrangements for his retirement in Davao City, Go said Sunday.

Duterte has started to pack up and arrange the transfer to his home in Davao City to spend his retirement as a private citizen.

Duterte’s term is set to end on June 30, when President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is set to take over as declared by Congress last week. —KG, GMA News
