NCR to remain under Alert Level 1 until June 15 amid pandemic

The National Capital Region (NCR) will remain under Alert Level  1 from June 1 to 15 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Palace said Friday.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Kris Ablan said this is provided under Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution 168-A.

Aside from NCR, other areas placed under Alert Level 1 include the following:

•     Abra,  Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Baguio City in Cordillera Administrative  Region 
•     llocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Dagupan City in Region 1
•     Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan , Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Angeles City, Olongapo City in Region 3
•     Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Lucena City in Region 4A
•     Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Puerto Princesa City, Looc, Occidental Mindoro in Region 4B and
•     Albay, Catanduanes, Naga City, Pamplona, Camarines Sur and Mandaon, Masbate for Region 5

For Visayas, Alert Level 1 has also been raised in Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, Bacolod City, Iloilo City in Region 6; Siquijor, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City in Region 7; and Biliran, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Ormoc City, Tacloban City and Villaba, Leyte in Region 8.

As for Mindanao, Alert Level 1 will also be in effect in Zamboanga City in Region 9.

In addition, Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City, Iligan City, Davao City, Davao Oriental, Surigao del Sur, and Butuan City will also be under Alert Level 1.

The Alert Level 1 allows intrazonal and interzonal travel regardless of age and comorbidities, and all establishments, persons, or activities to operate, work at full on-site capacity subject to minimum public health standards.

Under Alert Level 2 — the second lowest in the new alert level system — certain establishments and activities are allowed at 50% capacity indoors for fully vaccinated adults (and minors, even if unvaccinated) and 70% capacity outdoors.—AOL, GMA News
