Early bird voters troop to polling places even before voting hours start
Two hours before voting hours were to start, some voters were already falling in line outside polling places before dawn on Monday to cast their votes in Eleksyon 2022.
At the Nagpayong Elementary School in Pasig City, voters were in line before 5 a.m. patiently waiting for polling precincts to open at 6 a.m., according to GMA News reporter Jun Veneracion.
A queue of early bird voters was also spotted outside the President Corazon Aquino Elementary School in Quezon City as early as 4 a.m., GMA News reporter Maki Pulido said on Twitter.

At Magat Salamat Elementary School in Tondo, Manila, voters came even much earlier, before 3:30 a.m., according to Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho segment producer Gelo Medina.

Meanwhile, outside the Potrero Elementary School in Malabon City, poll watchers were at the area before 5 a.m. waiting to be allowed inside the polling place, according to Super Radyo dzBB reporter Luisito Santos.

Voting hours are from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Malacañang has advised voters to cast their votes early on Monday and observe minimum public health standards due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
All voters will have to have their body temperature checked before being allowed entry to voting centers.
