Ukrainians standing their ground amid conflict vs. Russia, says envoy

Ukrainians are standing their ground in their homes amid the Russian invasion, Ambassador Olexander Nechytaylo has said.

In an interview with Prof. Richard Heydarian on Stand for Truth, Nechytaylo discusses the reasonable endgame for his people.

"I'm not surprised, honestly, that we've achieved so much success because this becomes a very patriotic war for us. I have thousands of examples, not just my own friends and family, but those a lot of elderly people who took up the arms to protect their homes," Nechytaylo said.

"My own family is in Kiev. They refuse to leave even during the darkest hours because that's the sentiment that is overwhelming. On the ground, we are in our homes. We're going to fight until the last, I don't know, bullet, but we're going to stand up there and defend our families, our home," he added.

Nechytaylo also expressed Ukraine's appreciation for the Philippines' offer to receive refugees from Ukraine.

"This is something that we will never forget," Nechytaylo said.
