Duterte remains top choice in VP race, OCTA’s April survey says
With only a few weeks left before the May 9 elections, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte remains at the top of at least one survey of vice presidential choices.
According to an independent and non-commissioned survey conducted by OCTA Research Team and released on Sunday, 57 percent of the respondents supported the probable vice presidential bid of Duterte.
She scored 34% in the National Capital Region (NCR), 55% in Balance Luzon, 62% in Visayas, and 66% in Mindanao.
Duterte was followed by Senate President Vicente Sotto III (23%), Senator Francis Pangilinan (12%), Dr. Willie Ong (7%), House Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza (0.7%), and Manny Lopez (0.1%).
In the presidential survey, Duterte's running mate Bongbong Marcos also remained at the top, while Vice President Leni Robredo rose by seven percentage points in second place.
The Tugon ng Masa national survey was conducted last April 2-6 2022 with 1,200 respondents. It has a margin of error of 3%.
