Presidential bets Lacson, Pacquiao, Moreno, Gonzales, Abella to hold Easter Sunday presscon

Presidential candidates Senator Panfilo Lacson, Senator Manny Pacquiao, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, former Defense Secretary Norberto Gonzales, and former Palace spokesperson Ernesto Abella will be holding a joint press conference on April 17, Easter Sunday.

Separate advisories sent out by the camps of Moreno and Lacson said the press conference would take place at a hotel in Makati City on Sunday morning.

According to GMA News' Mav Gonzales, the candidates did not divulge the topic of the news conference.

Senate President Vicente Sotto III, Lacson’s running mate, said he was not privy to the details. 

“I’m not aware of the purpose. I was just invited by Senator Ping. He said five presidential candidates are meeting and are inviting their running mates. That’s all I know,” he said in a message to reporters. 

Apart from the five, the other candidates for president in the May 9 elections are Vice President Leni Robredo, former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., labor leader Leody de Guzman, businessman Faisal Mangondato, and physician-lawyer Jose Montemayor Jr. — DVM/VBL, GMA News
