‘ROSA’ campaign pushed by three local execs

Less than two months before Eleksyon 2022, at least three local government officials openly expressed backing for Vice President Leni Robredo and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as their bets for president and vice president, respectively.

The campaign dubbed as "ROSA 2022," referring to Robredo and Sara is being spearheaded by Albay Representative Joey Salceda, Zamboanga City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar and Cagayan de Oro Representative Rufus Rodriguez.

According to Salceda, the Robredo-Sara tandem would be “good for the country, good for the economy, good for the provinces and good for Mindanao.”

Robredo reiterated during her campaign rally in Pasig City on Sunday that Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan is her “one and only ka-tandem.”

Pangilinan previously said he was not bothered by Salceda’s support for Duterte.

Duterte is running with former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

The camps of Robredo-Pangilinan and Marcos-Duterte have yet to comment on the matter.—Mel Matthew Doctor/LDF, GMA News
