Bello says he and Ka Leody have vision for Philippines different from traditional pols

His vision that is different from traditional politicians is what former lawmaker Walden Bello has to offer if he will be given the chance to replace the president once something happens to the latter.

At the Comelec PiliPinas Debates 2022: The Turning Point, Bello cited the programs he and his running mate, presidential aspirant Leody De Guzman, plan to push if elected in Eleksyon 2022.

He mentioned the need to raise the daily minimum wage to P750 and the call to repeal the Rice Tariffication Law, among others.

"Gusto ko lang sabihin dito na magkaiba kami ni Ka Leody dito sa ibang politiko especially 'yung mga nasa entablado, kami ho prangkang prangka kami, 'yung hinihingi namin very strict P750 a day minimum, 'yung repeal the Rice Tariffication Act, repeal 'yung Automatic Appropriations Act, decriminalize abortion, legalize same-sex marriage, legalize divorce," Bello said.

[I would just like to say the Ka Leody and I are different from other politicians, especially those who are onstage. We are very frank - we are calling for P750 a day minimum (wage), repeal the Rice Tariffication Act, repeal the Automatic Appropriations Act, decriminalize abortion, legalize same-sex marriage, legalize divorce.]

Bello claimed that traditional politicians have no vision for the Philippines.

"In the Scripture may sinabi, without vision, the people perish. 'Yun hong mga traditional politicians wala hong binibigay sa atin. Kami ho ni Ka Leody are offering a vision of equality, a free of poverty Philippines, democratic socialism. Ito ho yung vision namin which is very different from that of traditional politicians," he said. — RSJ, GMA News
