Mangondato wants to bring gov’t closer to people, vows to push for federalism
Presidential candidate and businessman Faisal Mangondato on Saturday said he wants to bring the government closer to the people, adding that he would push for federalism if he gets elected in Eleksyon 2022.
During his campaign, the Katipunan ng Kamalayang Kayumanggi’s presidential bet said he observed the realities of the way of life among Filipinos, noting that the problem of the country is still the same.
“Sa aming pag-iikot ng mga probinsyang napuntahan ng aming mga partido ay nakita po namin na ang situwasyon, kahirapan ng ating mga kababayan yung maraming taong walang hanapbuhay, walang trabaho at yung pera ng kaban ng bayan ay nalulustay lamang sa hindi na programang na dapat ay mapunta sa budget,” he said during the Commission on Elections (Comelec) PiliPinas Presidential Debates: The Turning Point.
(As we visited the provinces visited by our respective parties, we saw the realities of the situation. The poverty of our countrymen, many people who are unemployed, and the money are wasted only on programs that are not supposed to be prioritized.)
(From our observation, this problem of the Philippines was still a problem back then, it is still a problem now, our problem is going back and forth. That is why we need a transition platform, we are focused on it because what we want to have changes in our system.)
If he wins in the May elections, Mangondato said he would implement a federalism form of government in order for the provinces to prioritize their needs within their respective areas.
(In the way of pushing for federalism so that we can bring the government closer to the people in each region, each province can prioritize their needs so that they can take steps to level up their area so that all the people can have a better way of life.) — RSJ, GMA News
