Philippines receives 1M doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5 to 11
The Philippines welcomed a total of 1,032,000 doses of reformulated Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 on Saturday night.
The fresh batch of government-procured vaccine doses arrived past 8 p.m., according to the National Task Force Against COVID-19.
Prior to this shipment, the country had received 1,080,000 doses of government-procured Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for this age group on Friday night.
The COVID-19 vaccination for ages 5 to 11 in the country started in the National Capital Region on February 7.
Data from the National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) showed the country had administered a total of 137,351,822 COVID-19 vaccine doses nationwide as of March 9.
At least 63,992,620 individuals were fully vaccinated and 10,675,663 received booster shots.
