LPG prices to be hiked for second straight month in March
Consumers will have to pay more for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) starting March, as oil firms are set to implement a hike for the second straight month to reflect movements in the international market.
In an advisory, Petron Corp. said it will hike prices of LPG by P7.95 per kilogram, and AutoLPG prices by P4.44 per liter.
The adjustments will take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of March,” the advisory read.
Data from the Department of Energy (DOE) indicate that the household LPG in Metro Manila range from P794.00 to P1,054.00 per 11-kilogram cylinder as of February 1, 2022.
Prices per kilogram were hiked by P4.00 in February while Auto LPG prices were increased by P2.23 to P2.24 per liter. These follow the price rollbacks implemented in December 2021 and January.—LDF, GMA News
