Medialdea disowns fraudulent ‘Michael Roa’ posing as his chief of staff

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on Tuesday warned the public against a certain Michael Roa who falsely introduces himself as his chief of staff.

"This Michael Roa was involved in several fraudulent schemes and has reportedly solicited funds from local government units using the name of the Office of the Executive Secretary and under the guise of acting under the direction and supervision of Malacañang," Medialdea said in a statement.

"The Office of the President and the OES have not authorized any person using that name to act for and in their behalf. Both offices likewise do not have any Michael Roa under their employ," he added.

Medialdea said that in the event that Roa reaches out or the public have already transacted with this person, they should immediately report it to the 8888 Citizens' Complaint Center for appropriate action.

"We will ensure that he and any other person using the said name shall be made responsible to the fullest extent of the law," Medialdea added.—LDF, GMA News
