1.3 million vaccinated in ‘Bayanihan, Bakunahan’ III –DOH
The third wave of the government’s mass vaccination drive or “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” has so far inoculated 1.3 million individuals for COVID-19, still short of the government’s target, the Department of Health (DOH) said Saturday.
“For the past two days, we were able to vaccinate 1.3 million individuals,” Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said during the Laging Handa briefing.
“Ito ay mababa sa target na limang milyon,” she said.
(This is short of the target of five million.)
The third “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” mass vaccination drive, originally scheduled from February 10 to 11, was extended to February 18.
“In-extend natin hanggang February 18 para mas maraming mabakunahan,” Vergeire said.
(This was extended until February 18 so more people could get vaccinated.)
At present, 60.6 million Filipinos have received one dose, 59.9 million were fully vaccinated, and 8 million have received booster shots. — DVM, GMA News
