DOLE asks firms to allow employees to accompany kids to COVID-19 vax sites
The Department of Labor and Employment has urged employers in the private sector to allow their employees to accompany their children for vaccination without considering them absent during the Bayanihan, Bakunahan III.
In an advisory signed by Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, the DOLE said employees must present proof of vaccination of their children.
He said employees may also be allowed to utilize their available leave credits to cover their absences during the vaccination drive “subject to company policy or collective bargaining agreement granting the same.”
The Bayanihan Bakunahan III is scheduled from February 10 to 11.
The government is seeking to inoculate 5 million individuals during the drive.
Meanwhile, the Philippines earlier reported 4,575 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 3,627,575.
