IATF allows entry of foreigners wanting to stay for over 30 days
The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has allowed the entry of foreigners who would like to stay in the Philippines beyond 30 days, acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles said Thursday.
At the Laging Handa public briefing, Nograles said the IATF amended its guidelines under Resolution 160-B with the newly issued Resolution No. 160-D.
“Ibig sabihin, yung citizens coming from the 157 countries under EO408 series of 1960 as amended, who intend to stay beyond 30 days for purposes other than tourism or leisure, may enter the Philippines through an entry exemption document issued under existing IATF rules and regulations,” he said.
These travelers should be fully vaccinated except only for children below 12 years of age traveling with their fully-vaccinated parents.
They must have acceptable proof of vaccination and a negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to the date and time of departure from the country of origin or first port of embarkation.
Earlier, Nograles said that IATF approved the Department of Foreign Affairs recommendation to recognize COVID-19 vaccination certificate four more countries including Brazil, Israel, South Korea, and Timor Leste. —LBG, GMA News
