LTFRB says funds for EDSA Carousel bus drivers, conductors already released
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has denied delaying the release of the salaries of EDSA Carousel bus drivers and conductors.
An Unang Balita report on Tuesday quoted the LTFRB as saying that it has already released the funds for the salaries of the drivers and conductors.
On Monday, the drivers and conductors held a protest rally on EDSA in connection with their unreleased salaries.
According to LTFRB executive director Maria Kristina Cassion, they have already released P672.69 million to ES Consortium.
ES Consortium, for its part, said they are in the middle of a "mediation process" with the affected drivers and conductors.
"This is already being addressed through the NCMD and as part of that po, our company is actively participating in the mediation process," said Ritchie Manuel of ES Consortium. —KBK, GMA News
