Children enjoy clowns, ice cream at party-themed COVID-19 vax sites

Pediatric COVID-19 vaccination sites looked like carnivals to ease the stress of kids aged 5 to 11 years old as they got inoculated versus the disease.

According to Lei Alviz and Ian Cruz's "24 Oras" report, vaccination sites greeted children with people dressed as clowns, puppeteers, and superheroes.

Organizers made vaccine sites into birthday party venues where children could get free chocolates, ice cream, and candies.

Several children were still afraid and were vaccinated after five minutes,
despite the arrangements.

Most of the kids were calm after being injected with the COVID-19 vaccine.

The National Children's Hospital vaccinated over 300 children against COVID-19.

The pilot rollout of the COVID-19 immunization program for younger children began on Monday at several vaccination sites in Metro Manila.

The National Vaccination Operations Center earlier bared that the national vaccination program for minors aged 5 to 11-years-old would be on February 14, Valentine's Day. — Consuelo Marquez/DVM, GMA News
