BBM-Sara UniTeam to hold proclamation rally in Philippine Arena
Presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte will kick off their campaign for the May 2022 national elections at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on Tuesday, February 8.
According to Attorney Vic Rodriguez, Marcos' spokesperson, the event will be "ticketed" to ensure that physical distancing would be followed during the proclamation rally.
The BBM-Sara UniTeam proclamation rally will start at 4 p.m.
The Philippine Arena, located in Ciudad de Victoria, is the world’s largest indoor arena with a floor area of 99,000 square meters and seating capacity of more than 50,000.
Aspiring senators under the slate of the Marcos-Duterte tandem are expected to attend the event.
These include Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta, Attorney Larry Gadon, House Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda, former senator Jinggoy Estrada, former Public Works chief Mark Villar, former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, former defense chief Gilbert Teodoro, former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista, and former Information and Communications Technology secretary Gringo Honasan.
Early Monday morning, Marcos held a caravan in Bulacan province. He first visited San Jose Del Monte City with senatorial aspirants Marcoleta and Estrada.
Duterte, for her part, continued her Mahalin Natin Ang Pilipinas Ride, beginning from Bicol province.—AOL, GMA News
