Teacher exposes Facebook groups offering to do school work for cash

A teacher in senior high school joined Facebook groups offering to do papers and other school requirements for cash to find out how they operated and who among his students availed of their questionable services.

According to Dano Tingcungco's "24 Oras" report, Dencio (not his real name), who's also a college lecturer, said he became suspicious after his students could not explain what they wrote during the thesis defense.

Dencio said this made him believe that the students got someone to do their work for them.

He then found out about the online groups that offered to write essays, papers and other schoolworks for cash.

Dencio secretly entered one of the groups to find out which of his students are included in these online groups.

Education Undersecretary Antonio Diosdado San Antonio said the education department already notified Facebook regarding these for-hire groups.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has yet to give a reaction to these activities. —NB, GMA News
