AFP chief Centino, 16 other military officials get CA nod

The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday confirmed the appointments of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief General Andres Centino and 16 other military officials.

The select group of lawmakers also approved the promotions of the following officers:

• Roy Galido to the rank of Major General
• Connor Anthony Canlas Sr. to the rank of Lieutenant General
• Pedro Balisi Jr. to the rank of Brigadier General
• JT Bajet to the rank of Brigadier General
• Andrew Costelo to the rank of Major General
• Romeo Racadio to the rank of Brigadier General
• Romeo Brawner Jr. to the rank of Lieutenant General
• Jimmy Larida to the rank of Brigadier General
• Eric Nicanor to the rank of Major General
• Leandro Abeleda III to the rank of Brigadier General
• Frederick Cutler to the rank of Brigadier General
• Ernesto Torres Jr. to the rank of Lieutenant General
• Aldwine Almase to the rank of Brigadier General
• Rey Alemania to the rank of Brigadier General
• Alex Rillare to the rank of Major General
• Randolph Cabangbang to the rank of Brigadier General
