IATF places Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Northern Samar under Alert Level 4
The government's COVID-19 task force has decided to place Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, and Northern Samar under Alert Level 4 until the end of January, Malacañang said Thursday.
In a statement, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said the alert level will run from January 21 to 31.
Previously, these four provinces were under Alert Level 3.
Under Alert Level 4, establishments are allowed to operate at 10% indoor capacity strictly for fully vaccinated individuals only and 30% outdoor capacity.
Establishments or activities that are not allowed to operate or be undertaken include cinemas, contact sports, face-to-face classes (except those approved by the government), amusement parks, and casinos.
Meanwhile, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) placed the following areas under Alert Level 3 from January 21 to 31:

Apayao
Puerto Princesa City
Masbate
Visayas
Siquijor
Mindanao
Zamboanga del Norte
Zamboanga Sibugay
Lanao del Norte
Davao de Oro
Davao Oriental
North Cotabato
Sarangani
Sultan Kudarat
Surigao del Norte
Maguindanao
Basilan
Malacañang previously retained Metro Manila and other areas under Alert Level 3 until the end of the month.
Under Alert Level 3, several establishments may operate at 30% indoor venue capacity but only for fully vaccinated persons and 50% outdoor venue capacity as long as employees are fully vaccinated.
Face-to-face classes, contact sports, funfairs/perya, and casinos are also banned under Alert Level 3. — VBL, GMA News
