Comelec's updated tentative list shows 11 prexy, 9 VP bets

Eleven presidential aspirants made it to the Commission on Elections' (Comelec) latest tentative list for the 2022 elections, down from the previous 15.

The number vice presidential aspirants, meanwhile, remains at nine, based on the latest list released by the poll body on Thursday.

The tentative list of presidential aspirants includes (in alphabetical order):

1. Abella, Ernie
2. Arcega, Gerald
3. De Guzman, Leody
4. Domagoso, Isko Moreno
5. Gonzales, Norberto
6. Lacson, Ping
7. Mangondato, Faisal
8. Marcos, Bongbong
9. Montemayor, Jose Jr.
10. Pacquiao, Manny Pacman
11. Robredo, Leni

Aspirants who did not make it to the latest tentative list but were included in the previous one are Andes Hilario, Danilo Lihaylihay, Maria Aurora Marcos and Edgar Niez.

The vice presidential aspirants on the list, on the other hand, are (in alphabetical order):

1. Atienza, Lito
2. Bello, Walden
3. David, Rizalito
4. Duterte, Sara
5. Lopez, Manny SD
6. Ong, Doc Willie
7. Pangilinan, Kiko
8. Serapio, Carlos
9. Sotto, Vicente

The poll body also trimmed down the list for senatorial aspirants — down to 64 from the previous 70. —KBK, GMA News
