Round fruit prices start to climb ahead of year-end celebrations

Prices of round fruits have started to increase ahead of the year-end celebrations, with prices expected to climb even higher as December 31 nears.

According to Bernadette Reyes' report on GMA’s “24 Oras Weekend,” fruit purchases have been lukewarm this year. Nevertheless prices were still expected to increase in the coming days.

Below is a list of the prevailing prices:

• Pear - three for P100
• Ponkan - three for P50
• Apples - three for P100
• Persimmon - three for P100
• Kiwi - three or P100
• Pomelo - P20 to P50 per piece
• Dragon Fruit - P100 per piece
• Pineapple - P40 to P45 per piece
• Watermelon - P80 per piece
• Lemon - P50 to P100 pile
• Kiat kiat - P100 per half kilogram
• Longan - P200 per kilogram
• Grapes - P100 per kilogram
• Grapes (seedless) - P200 per kilogram
