PNP ready to provide security for face-to-face classes in NCR
The Philippine National Police said it was prepared to provide security as the pilot implementation of face-to-face classes in 28 Metro Manila schools begins on Monday.
In a statement on Sunday, the PNP said it had a list of the participating schools where the deployment of policemen was expected.
“The resumption of the face-to-face learning setup is not new anymore for us since other schools have already started this last November. We just have to follow the template and remind our police personnel to strictly limit themselves from going inside school premises unless there is a request for security assistance,” PNP Chief Police General Dionardo Carlos said.
Further, the PNP reminded students, parents, and guardians to practice minimum health standards to prevent the further spread of the virus.
The country has so far recorded 2,834,775 COVID-19 cases including 2,771,536 recoveries and 49,386 deaths. — DVM, GMA News
