Philippines' 665 new COVID-19 cases lowest since July 2020
The Philippines on Monday reported 665 fresh COVID-19 cases, pushing the country's total caseload to 2,832,375.
This is the lowest since July 14, 2020, with 634 new cases.
According to the Department of Health's COVID-19 case bulletin, the active cases decreased to 16,289 from 16,630 on Sunday.
Of the 16,289, 48.1% are mild, 6.0% are asymptomatic, 23.82% are moderate, 15.6% are severe, and 6.6% are in critical condition.

The DOH also posted 993 more patients who survived the illness, bringing the total count of recoveries to 2,767,585.
Also, the nation's death toll rose to 48,501 after recording 141 new fatalities.
As for Philippines' COVID-19 positivity rate, it remained below 5%, with a 2.1% positivity rate. This is the lowest since November 23, with 2.3% positivity rate.
The country's total conducted COVID-19 tests were 32,639.
On the country's health care utilization rate, 27% of intensive care units both in Metro Manila and nationwide are in use.
Isolation beds in the country are 25% utilized while isolation beds in the National Capital Region are 22% occupied.
The country's health department also removed 10 duplicates, including eight recoveries and one death, in the total caseload.
It again modified the country's case count with 87 infections, tagged as recoveries, were found to be negative and were removed from the total caseload.
A total of 129 recoveries were reclassified as deaths, the DOH data also indicated.
Only laboratories failed to operate on November 27, 2021 and three laboratories were not able to give their data to COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS).
These five labs, on an average, contribute 0.3% of samples tested and 0.5% of positive individuals, DOH pointed out.—LDF, GMA News
