Philippine Navy holds naval exercises with Pakistan Navy
The Philippine Navy’s multi-capable frigate BRP Jose Rizal conducted passing exercises and other naval drills with Pakistan Navy’s PNS Tughril at Matinloc Platform, El Nido, Palawan on Friday.
This bilateral naval exercise showed the Philippine Navy’s commitment to promoting peace, mutual respect, and stability throughout the Indo-Pacific region, the Philippine Navy said.
According to them, this is a testament of fostering safety and security for the Philippines’ maritime nation.
Various naval exercises were also conducted such as semaphore exercise, flag hoisting exercise, and simple maneuvers to test both ships’ abilities in ship-handling and seamanship.
The Philippine Navy honored Pakistan’s most advanced frigate by performing man the rail—a customary tradition among navies to show honors—in light of good partnership and strong ties between both nations. —Giselle Ombay/KG, GMA News
