NDRRMC to hold online nationwide earthquake drill on November 11

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, (NDRRMC) through the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), will hold the Fourth Quarter Online Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November 11, 2021 at 8 a.m.

The drill would be livestreamed on Civil Defense PH and NDRRMC social media pages.

The NDRRMC called on the public to continue participating in the NSED and in other national and community-based preparedness activities and programs to strengthen capacities to respond to earthquakes and other hazards.

Meanwhile, a disaster preparedness webinar and the tabletop and communication exercises for Zambales' San Antonio town, to be participated in by the Zambales Provincial DRRMC and Regional DRRMC in Central Luzon, would be conducted on November 9 and 10, 2021 as part of the 4th quarter NSED.

The upcoming NSED will be the sixth online earthquake drill since the third quarter last year. — DVM, GMA News
