Lacson-Sotto tandem bares 15-man Senate slate for Eleksyon 2022

The tandem of Senator Panfilo Lacson and Senate President Vicente Sotto III will endorse 15 senatorial candidates in Eleksyon 2022.

The list includes:

• Antique Rep. Loren Legarda
• Former Senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito
• Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero
• Former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista
• Senator Sherwin Gatchalian
• Senator Joel Villanueva
• Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri
• Former Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay
• Former Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol
• Dr. Minguita Padilla
• Former Makati Rep. Monsour del Rosario
• Powee Capino
• Senator Richard “Dick” Gordon
• Information and Communications Secretary Greg Honasan

The 14 names were bared by Sotto, saying these are the ones who “deserve to be in the Senate.”

Apart from the 14 senatoriables, Sotto also said they will also endorse a “surprise candidate.”

On Thursday, Lacson said they are inclined to support 14 candidates in their senatorial slate for the next year’s polls.

He said they will leave it to the electorate to choose their final 12 senatorial bets on the day of the election.
