WHO Philippines donates 1,500 COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits to BJMP-NCR
The World Health Organization (WHO) Philippines donated at least 1,500 COVID-19 rapid antigen diagnostic kits to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology's National Capital Region office (BJMP-NCR) on Monday.
WHO Philippines representative Dr. Rabindra Abeyasinghe personally handed the test kits against COVID-19 to Regional Director Chief Superintendent Luisito Muñoz.
“Their donation is one way to support the government’s fight against the spread of the virus,” the BJMP-NCR said in its Facebook post.
Meanwhile, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has also certified the BJMP-NCR as a "safe" area for its compliance with standard health protocols in the workplace.
The BJMP-NCR said the donated test kits will help them maintain regular rapid testing for all employees prior to entering the office. — Richa Noriega/BM, GMA News
