Over 900,000 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses arrive in the Philippines


More than 900,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine from the COVAX Facility arrived in the Philippines on Sunday afternoon.

The 918,450 Pfizer jabs landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 past 4 p.m.

The doses arrived in the country on board an Emirates flight.

The country began its vaccination program on March 1.

Over 20 million Filipinos have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Vaccine brands delivered to the Philippines to date include Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, Sinovac, AstraZeneca, and Sputnik V. — DVM, GMA News
