Duterte's ex-wife Elizabeth Zimmerman gets Sinovac's COVID-19 vaccine

Elizabeth Zimmerman, the ex-wife of President Rodrigo Duterte, received her first dose of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine in Davao City.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte said her mother was scared at first to get vaccinated, but she was "okay " with it after receiving her shot, according to a 24 Oras report by Tina Panganiban-Perez on Friday.

Zimmerman, a senior citizen, is included in the A2 priority group.

Other provinces continued their vaccination rollout as part of the government's COVID-19 vaccination program.

Cebu City started its rollout of the Pfizer vaccine, but disallowed walk-ins in sites where the vaccine brand was used.

Walk-ins in other vaccinations sites meanwhile have to wait for those who were able to secure their schedules for the jabs.

Negros Occidental also started its mass vaccination for provincial government employees, following the rise of COVID-19 cases in their capitol.

Zamboanga City, which is under a modified enhanced community quarantine following a rise in their COVID-19 cases, rolls out its vaccines from Mondays to Saturdays, with the city locking down on Sundays.
