Ex-anti-graft commissioner Ambrocio Ramos dies, 89
Career public servant Ambrocio Garcia Ramos Sr., a commissioner of the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission during the Ramos administration, passed away on Friday.
He was 89.
Ramos, who was also a lieutenant colonel in the Philippine Army, also served as former President Fidel Ramos’ presidential assistant for personnel and general matters.
A career bureaucrat who started his stint in government with the UP Department of Military Science and Tactics in 1956, also served in various capacities in the Bureau of Schools, Department of Budget Commission, the House of Representatives and at the Office of the President in Malacanang.
He was a consultant with the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission from 1998 to 2002.
Ramos is survived by his wife Adelisa and children Ronaldo, Ambrocio, Jr., and Marissa.
His remains lie in state at the Sapphire Room of the Loyola Memorial Chapels in Marikina.
