BSP Governor Diokno gets COVID-19 vaccine shot
By TED CORDERO, GMA News
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Benjamin Diokno said Saturday he received the first jab of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Diokno, 73 years old, is a senior citizen. He thus belongs in the priority list for vaccinations along with healthcare workers and those aged 18 to 59 years with comorbidities.
The BSP chief told reporters on Saturday that he and members of the central bank’s policy-setting Monetary Board received their COVID-19 vaccine shots last Wednesday at the Red Cross headquarters in Mandaluyong City.
“It was easy. And as far as I know, there were no adverse reactions. Given the opportunity to get jabbed, take it,” Diokno urged. — DVM, GMA News
