VP Robredo's daughter among doctors in Malabon COVID-19 swab testing

Malabon City Mayor Lenlen Oreta identified the daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo, Dr. Tricia Robredo, among the medical professionals conducting swab tests for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Tuesday.

"Nagulat ako ng malaman ko na si Dra. Tricia Robredo ang attending doctor sa ginawang SWAB CAB kanina," Oreta said in his social media post.

(I was surprised when I learned Dr. Tricia Robredo is the attending doctor for the SWAB CAB this morning [Tuesday]).

"Dra. Tricia, Maraming Salamat sa iyong efforts, ngunit more than the number of Antigen Tests you conducted today, we are more thankful for the inspiration your family provides. For us to overcome this pandemic we all have to do our part," he added.

Vice President Leni Robredo, in her social media post, said she did not know her daughter was working in Malabon City.

She added that she received pictures and was tagged in Facebook posts.

"Thank you very much to everyone!! Thank you most especially to the BHERTs who did a great job in the immediate contact tracing," the Vice President said.

"The good thing about swab antigen tests is results are out in 15 minutes. Whenever there is one who tests positive, an ambulance on standby brings him/her directly to a pre designated isolation center. Then, contact tracing immediately ensues," she added.

In Malabon City, she reports that out of the 711 who were tested, 46 are positive.

For the two days of the SWAB CAB Operations in the city, a total of 80 tested positive.

She assured that the individuals tested negative but display symptoms will undergo confirmatory RT PCR  test on Wednesday. -- BAP, GMA News
