Mike Defensor loses another post at House

Anakalusugan partylist Representative Mike Defensor lost his post as vice chairperson of the House committee on legislative franchises on Wednesday.
Defensor, a strong ally of former Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, was replaced by Zamboanga Sibugay Representative Wilter "Sharky" Palma.
The Committee on Legislative Franchises handles all matters directly and principally relating to the grant, amendment, extension, or revocation of franchises. Its chairperson is Palawan Representative Franz Alvarez.
In December, Defensor was removed as chairperson of the Committee on Public Accounts. He also lost his vice chairmanship of five House panels as the chamber elected other lawmakers to the posts following the installment of Speaker Lord Allan Velasco.
Palma, meanwhile, lost his position as Deputy Majority Leader. He was replaced by Iloilo Representative Lorenz Defensor.
Quezon City Representative Anthony Peter Crisologo was also replaced by Palawan Representative Gil Acosta as Assistant Majority Leader. Crisologo was installed as vice chairperson of the Committee of Games and Amusements.
On the other hand, Duterte Youth partylist Representative Ducielle Cardema became a member of the Committee on Appropriations while COOP-NATCCO partylist Representative Sabiano Canama joined the Committee on Cooperatives Development.—AOL, GMA News
